No, status information is not automatically sent over the LAN by the N5700 and N8700.
However, you can explicitly query the status of the power supply at any time over the LAN.
Note that there is a separate connector that has a “Power Supply OK” status line to indicate various states that include: over voltage protection (OVP), over current protection (OCP), over temperature protection, AC line failure, enable/disable true, shut off true, remote interface failure, and output off. This status line can be connected to an external, customer-supplied circuit to take action based on this status line.
